These images done by Philip Dawson, are very different than the other images
I have shown you. Dawson uses a technique called slide sandwiching to get
the sur-reality he wants. In many of his works, he places images over other
images. This allows the viewer to be imaginative and look creatively at
his art. Because there are images on top of other images, it sort of creates
a "false" place, like a Utopia. A place that does not in actuality exist
in reality, but a place that you can imagine and create in other ways,
like through photography. |
